WOW, it's been forever. Just went back to see when the last time I blogged photos...October 21st, REALLY?!?!??!?! Just crazy. I am back and I will stay on track. Since I am so behind, I thought I would take a week at a time. So, here it goes...

Thursday, October 22nd

Andy and Madison spent the afternoon fine-tuning her football skills! She did amazing catching and throwing the football!

Friday, October 23rd

Today was Hailey's last field trip with her class! They spent the day at the Oklahoma City Zoo...they had such a GREAT time!

Saturday, October 24th

Ashlyn had been bugging me about having a friend over, so this weekend was her weekend to invite someone over! No questions about it that Miss Hannah would be spending the day with us! Ashlyn was super excited to take her to Toon Town at Lifechurch! Love this girl!

 
 
Sunday, October 25th

It's that time of year...the girls favorite part of fall! Hailey had so much fun cleaning her pumpkin out. She insisted on getting EVERYTHING out. :)  

Monday, October 26th

All the cleaning and carving and here is our creations! The girls picked some great designs this year!! So cute!

Tuesday, October 27th

Ashlyn, such a sweet girl! It's amazing to see how much you have changed in just the past few months! You have such a big heart!

Wednesday, October 28th

Hailey got some awesome news today at school! She received Student of the Month at Central! Since Friday is her last day, this was sure the perfect way to end her week! So proud of you sweetie! xoxo

  

  

November is almost over and it's hard to believe another year is slipping right pass us! Just came off of a 4-day weekend with the family....AWESOME! Thanksgiving 2009 was here and gone, but it seemed to really hit me this year of ALL I have to be thankful for...the little blesssings each day or the big blessings that have impacted our family. My AMAZING husband, my 3 beautiful girls, our health, our family & friends, our home, Andy's job, my opportunity to homeschool our girls, and just so many more...I thank God each and every day for all He has given to us. He is good...all the time!

My Daybook for Today, November 23rd

Outside my window...it's still dark. The weatherman said there is dense fog out there as well.

I am thinking...so many things. Not feeling 100% today, our awesome weekend (and I hated to see it end), my amazing family, so many things to be thankful for. 

From the daycare room...Thanksgiving Week! Making a handprint turkey, Thanksgiving coloring sheet, and Rice Krispies Turkeys! Super cute.

I am thankful for...my three gorgeous girls, my amazing husband, our dear family & friends, our health, our beautiful home, Andy's awesome job. God is so good...all the time!

From the kitchen...

I am reading...the books on the sidebar, still. :( I honestly am having a hard time squeezing in any time to read.

I am hoping...to get alot done this week. Lots of little odd's and end's to finish up around the house.

I am creating...nothing scrappy. :( I would love to be able to create a layout a day, or even a week at this point...but it's just not a priority. Maybe someday...

I am hearing...absolutely nothing. The house is so quiet...this has to be my favorite time of the day.

Around the house...ironing, laundry, file scrappy paper, go through magazines, plan next week's curriculum for girls plus daycare, gorcery list made, decorate for Christmas (on Sunday).

One of my favorite things...our new bookcases and organizational system for homeschooling. It really just makes my life a bit easier! :) I hope to post some photos this week!

I am thinking...how blessed I truly am to have such an amazing "career"! The awesome privelege of staying at home and teaching my girls...God is good, all the time!

From the daycare room...our theme this week is "Homes to Live In". Creating igloo's, skyscrapers, and more!

I am reading...Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. AWESOME book!

I am hoping...to find the balance in each day. Balancing daycare kids, my girls, homeschooling...I know it can be done. I pray the frustration of not getting it all done will subside and peace will take over.

I am creating...nothing at the moment. My focus as been on getting all the homeschooling stuff ready. I need to start making cards for next year.

I am hearing...my girls finishing up their chores and the daycare kids playing.

Thursday, October 15th

Day 2 of fall break and the girls were putting their cake decorating techniques to work. They were playing Ultimate Cake Off and Ashlyn was THE JUDGE! Madison won this round! :)

 

Friday, October 16th

We have found out quickly livin' out in the "country" (as the girls call it) that we just need a truck plus Andy's car was on his last miles! We found this 2005 Nissan Frontier. Exactly what we were looking for! Sweetie looks pretty hot driving it too...I am just sayin'! 

Saturday, October 17th

Ashlyn's friend, Ariyanna had a birthday party at Sweet & Sassy, a dream place for every little girl! They got manicures, their hair done, a fashion show, and lots of giggles & great times! 

Sunday, October 18th

We made a trip to our local greenhouse today to pick out some pumpkins...and our annual photo shoot! The girls had a blast picking out the biggest pumpkins they could find! :) It gets me every year how much they are growing up! We are so truly blessed!

Monday, October 19th

Madison cannot wait until she can start mowing our one acre yard, so Andy gave her a sneak peek of what it's like! She had so much fun "driving"!  

Tuesday, October 20th

I finally got my Uppercase Living expression up in our foyer. This is our family. We have had a few tough years, but it's amazing through those mountains, God makes us & our faith stronger! It' s a daily reminder for our family!

Wednesday, October 21st

IT HAS ARRIVED! After stalking the outside of my home all day, Mr. UPS finally delivered our currriculum to our front door this afternoon! Awesome stuff! We are so excited for this journey that God is taking our family on!  

  
  

Our Life in a Week!

Thursday, October 8th

Hailey's Daisy Troop had the privilege of visiting Guthrie's Fire Department! Hailey came home chatting about all the cool stuff they learned and saw. She even let Amy snap a photo of her and Sparky! Unklike her...she usually has been scared of big, furry animals like this! :)

Friday, October 9th

Logan County was handing out FREE trees last weekend so Andy got 11 total! We got 6 autumn maples, 2 Chinese Pistachio, 1 Evergreen and 2 Redbuds! With an acre of land, we really wanted to plant some trees...no better way to do it than when they are FREE! We just added a ton of value to our property! What's funny is that Andy could not wait to have a house with NO trees to mow around or clean up. So not the case now! We finally got them planted...Madison was a GREAT helper too!

Saturday, October 10th

Saturday's have become 'soccer game days' for our family! Of course, as the weather is changing, the games are quite chilly to enjoy! Ashlyn was doing her very best to stay warm. I am sure glad I threw those blankets in the van!

Sunday, October 11th

That's right...we have been BOO'ed! Quite an experience for us...had no idea they were doing this in our neighborhood! Doorbell rings at 9pm and no one is there....kind of FREAKY! There is a package on our doorstop that says "you have been boo'ed"! It contained candy and letters for you to copy and go BOO 2 other people! So much fun!!! One of the rules is you had to post this in your window if you didn't want to get boo'ed again!

Tuesday, October 13th

Then there are moments like these that just take my breath away! Simply taking the time to read with Ashlyn is just one of the things that fills her 'love tank'! Thank you Andy for being such a GREAT Daddy! 

Wednesday, Ocotber 14th

Not the way Madison was hoping to start her Fall Break, but she was pretty down and out. Just a low-grade fever and cough! This was her favorite spot for the day!

Our Life in a Week

Thursday, October 1st

Ashlyn is in love with Troy (aka Zac Efron)! I let her purchase this pillow when we bought new comforters. She insisted on having an entire room decorated from wall to wall with High School Musical...that was NOT going to happen! So we met in the middle (sort of) on the pillow! She sleeps with this each night!

Friday, October 2nd

It was date night with my sweetie tonight! It was overdue! We have had this planned all week...and it was finally here! We went to Old Chicago Pizza with Teri & George and Amy & Troy! We ended the evening shopping at Target...so much fun! We had an awesome time...laughed so hard and enjoyed some GREAT food! 

Saturday, October 3rd

Game #2 for Miss Hailey was today! She did an amazing job playing and really being tough! Here she is sitting on the sideline waiting for her turn to be called in to play!

Sunday, October 4th

Dena and I spent the afternoon flower shopping at Lowe's! She was AMAZING at helping me design and purchase the right flowers and perennials! I cannot wait to get these into the ground! Hopefully she will come help me plant too! :)

Monday, October 5th

Miss Hailey came down with a fever this weekend, so today was spent laying around on the couch and praying this flu bug would disapper. Poor baby had a come & go fever and a horrible cough...that has lingered on for several days now!

Tuesday, October 6th

Andy and I found these adroable little post-its on our nightstands today! Ashlyn is always leaving us beautiful pages she has colored or just little notes to tells us how much she loves us! I am slowly learning each of my girls Love Language! It's truly awesome to see! We love you too, Ashlyn...more than anything! xoxo

Wednesday, October 7th

Today, I kept the girls home. Between Hailey not feeling good, Madison started coughing, and all the junk that is going around the schools...we made an executive decision to play it safe and stay home! It was an awesome day...loved having my girls home! Here they are playing school...Miss Ashlyn is the teacher! Time to learn...

Outside my window...still dark and drizzling rain. One of those days to stay in bed. :(

I am thinking...about our decision to homeschool. God is REALLY laying it on my heart, and I feel like I am hesitating...delayed obedience you might call it. Still praying... 

From the daycare room...Leaves & Trees so we will be creating a leaf wreath, a family tree, a fingerprint tree, seasonal trees, and gumdrop trees. 

I am thankful for...being able to stay at home. It truly is a blessing that I seem to overlook many days. 

From the kitchen...

I am hoping...Miss Hailey's fever stays away and she feels better soon.

I am creating...nothing at the moment. My desk is empty and clean. :) I need to get the canvases I made for the playroom done and hung up!

I am hearing...Micky Mouse Clubhouse on Disney. Hailey is curled up on the couch resting! 

Around the house...fall clothes done for all of us, clean house, balance checkbook. edit September photos, cards ready to mail out, crafts ready for week, grocery list & meals planned for next week, flowers planted in my flowerbeds!
