Our Life in Photos

Thursday, June 25th

I have really been working hard on wrapping on some projects that I have been putting off and this was one of them...my 'to-do' notebooks from now 'til the end of the year. They are done and that is one more thing crossed off my 'to-do' list! :)

I was up bright & early this morning (before anyone else) and was out the door by 7am to hit a few garage sales, especially this one! Nothing like hitting the jackpot....an awesome neighborhood garage sale. Found some GREAT stuff, plus I truly enjoyed having a bit of 'me' time!

Our new home is moving right along, faster than I dreamed it would. Today Andy spent the day running cables & wires for all the phone, internet, and cable throughout the home. Saved us a bit of money and we have it done exactly how we want it! Thanks baby for all your hard work! :)

Another day at our new home...we swept and cleaned while hubby wrapped up his work! The girls were sweeping fools, wanting every inch of dust and dirt gone. If they only knew it would not stay that way! :)

Our new favorite game...SORRY! The girls have been playing like CrAzy! They know all the rules and play so nicely together, which makes this Mommy smile real big! :)

It's been a real 'off' week for me and I have no idea why! Busy, busy, busy and I have made no time to exercise or do anything for myself. That could very well be the reason. You know the saying..."when Momma's not happy, no one is happy." :( That has been our home this week, so by today, I needed something to make me smile. So I cut these pretty flowers to put a smile on my face. :)

You are compassionate, strong, unselfish, giving, a true man of God and I LOVE YOU with all my heart, always & forever....no matter what! I honestly cannot imagine doing life without YOU! Thank you for all you do and loving us so much!

Our Life in a Week

Ashlyn woke up this morning to Mr. Max sleeping on her bean bag! She thought it was the cutest thing ever...I think Max just wanted to be left alone! :) He doesn't look at all thrilled to have his photo taken!

Troy had the day off so Amy decided to join me as visitor at the "Y" for a workout! It was awesome having her as my motivator and workout buddy! I so wish we could do this every morning...imagine the progress we would see! :)

Today was Mema's (Andy's Grandmother) SURPRISE 80th Birthday Party...and anyone who knows Mema knows you cannot keep a secret from her for anything. She knows everything that happens in this town before anyone else, except in this situation! She walked through the door and was completely surprised! It was an amazing party! We love her so very much!

This weekend, we had all our family & friends over to bless our new home. We did this by writing verses on the foundation of the home. It's been an awesome journey that God has taken us through that has led us to this point. We wanted to return that honor to Him by blessing our home! It was a very special time that we will never forget. It's amazing to have such special people in our lives! Here is Miss Hailey's verse that she picked and wrote out herself...awesome!

Thought I would share a bit of my morning Bible study...good stuff for every wife to read! I learned this the hard way and now it seems I make a daily choice to live these out, and our marriage shows it! I love Andy for who he is and for all he does. He is truly a blessing to ME!

"However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must RESPECT her husband."       Ephesians 5:33 (NIV)

  • Tell your husband that you believe in him!
  • Don't point out his mistakes, just fill in the gaps.
  • Ask God to show you ways to serve your husband.
  • Don't ever say "I told you so"; Say "I'm sorry" and mean it when you dishonor him.
  • Say "I forgive you" and mean it when he dishonors or hurts you.
  • Tell your husband that you thank God for giving him to you (and be sure you do it).
  • Let him overhear you telling someone something you appreciate about him.
  • Support & encourage his decisions.
  • Praise him when his decisions turn out and encourage him when they don't.
  • Tell your husband each day about one thing you are thankful for-about his character, his work ethic, his provision, his humor or something he adds to your family.

My Daybook for Today, 06.22.09

Outside my window...the sun is making it's way out. It's going to be a another hot one here in Oklahoma, 100+.

I am thinking...how I need to go give our puppy, Max another bath after being sprayed by a visitor in our yard last night. :(

I am thankful for...our awesome friends and family who played an amazing part in our lives this weekend blessing our home. Meant more to us than I could ever express in words!

From the kitchen...Monday: bacon cobb pitas; Tuesday: smokey pulled pork sandwiches; Wednesday: Pizza Hut w/ Girl Scouts; Thursday: breakfast; Friday: spaghetti; Saturday: salsa sirloin salads; Sunday: grilled chicken, corn on the cob

I am reading...Someday (Book 3) by Karen Kingsbury in the Sunrise Series while I wait on The Kiss for our book club. AWESOME book!

I am hoping...to accomplishment something this week. I feel like my days are just gone and nothing to show for it. :(

I am creating...cards for (hopefully) the rest of the year. Seems like a tall order, so we will see how many I actaully get done.

I am hearing...Miss Jordan playing with her baby dolls.

Around the house...just the typical stuff (laundry, ironing, upload & edit photos, etc)

A few plans for the rest of the week...the girls have swimming lessons Monday-Thursday @ 10:30 am, Pizza Hut Wednesday evening @6pm and I am hoping to get us all into the chiropractor one evening. That is it! (thank goodness)

Our Life in A Week!

Thursday, June11th

Day 1 of vacation has begun...and our first stop was the American Girl Store! I cannot even begin to put into words how excited the girls were! They each picked a "Just Like Me" doll and while the dolls were waiting for their hair appointments, we enjoyed a delicious sundea from the Bistro. It was an amazing day filled with lots of smiles, hugs, and thank-you's! :)

Day 2...spent the day at Incredible Pizza with Aunt Carol, Uncle Jim, Robin, and Miss Samantha! The girls had so much fun playing every video game, driving the go-karts, playing skee-ball, and miniture golf! After earning over 1300 in tickets, they each walked away with some cute toys!

Today was the day we headed home from vacation, so needless to say, I ended up with NO photo of the day, so I snatched one from Sunday..LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this one of Madison and Ashlyn just having fun together! I giggle just looking at it! I hope & pray they have this kind of friendship always!

Sunday, June 14th

Today was LIFESTOCK 2009 at Frontier City. A day where all the LifeChurch.tv campuses come together as ONE! It was filled with fun rides, good food, praise & worship, and baptisms! This year, we had over 150 baptisms and one of those was our very own Miss Hailey! She was ready to give her heart to Jesus, so Daddy had the honor of baptizing her. Of course, she entered the pool in tears. It was truly amazing to see her go under crying and come up AMAZED that she did it and just smiling from ear to ear! We love you Hailey! xoxoxoxo

This week, all 3 girls are attending 'Twilight Camp' It's from 6-8:30 pm at a beautiful park in Edmond. They are learning a variety of things from self-defense to cheerleading, outdoor safety, pets, and weather. Despite the very warm temps, they are having a GREAT time. While the girls are at camp, Amy and I are having a great time doing some window shopping and just hanging out together.

Hailey presented this beautiful "flower" with the adorable bumblebee she planted just for me at Twilight Camp! They learned about caring for all of God's plants around us. She even earned a badge for her apron! She is doing an awesome job making sure it has light and water! :)

Wednesday, June 17th

Tonight I was on my own since Amy & Troy had Financial Peace University. so while the girls were at Twilight Camp, I decided to make the best use of my time and get groceries! Usually Andy does the grocery shopping, so this was out of the norm for me. It's so nice to have a well stocked fridge with lots of yummy fruits and veggies again! :) Of course the getting home at 9:30 and trying to bathe 3 girls plus get groceries put away was not fun at all!!
